The last hopes to be the best as NYCFC has named the final HC for all of MLS 2020 as ex Valerenga of Norway's highest level of soccer has signed on with a three year deal. As a coach he has found great successes, coaching in the UEFA Champions League qualifieres and UEFA Europa League alike. As a player, Ronny was a defender and had headed Stromsgodset in his native land from 2008-'14, during which time they took their first championship in 43 years in 2013. Then he was back to Scotland for world renowned Celtic from 2014-'16 with a 2 Scottish Premiership rings in a row.

Still almost 30 years later he still leads this program in goals with his 50 and is #2 in assists with 30, Huey Fuergeson, who we knew in his freshman year that this Jamaican player would be special, he turned out to be extra special. Taking 3 Big East titles in his time at SJU, his freshman year we lost in the final, during this time he lead the team in scoring each and every of those 3 years, hitting a career high with 17 goals in his 2nd season.

Aron Hyde has been called into help with the saves for the USMNT and he brings with him his 14 years of experience both in the US and at the international level as GK coach. He was last with Atl. Utd., now the full time coach he had been with the team for recent wins facing Canada & Cuba during Concacaf Nations League play.

NCFC has been abuzz with activity of late, coaching staff complete and adding players at what seams on the daily. From the highest of levels in the USL Championship for these 2 most recent seasons, Alex Tambakis is back in the fold. 

The Greek Goalie has since linking up with NCFC 2 years ago gotten 15 shutouts, 3rd in team lore with 8 last year and a 75.21save %, placing him in the top 10 of the league.

Due to the developing situation in the region, U.S. Soccer has decided to postpone traveling to Qatar for the Men's National Team's scheduled January training camp. In the meantime, we are working on alternative arrangements in preperation for the match agains Costa Rica on Februrary 1 at Dignity Sports Park in Carson, Calif. We are working with the Qatar Football Association to find an opportunity in the near future for our team to experience Qatar's world-class facilities and hospitality.
