Deportivo La Guaira have lent out forward Jovanny with an option to buy for DC. He had his first minutes as a pro with the club at just 17, now 19, he has 28 games and 4 goals, not bad numbers for the youth international.

One would think if a player was coming out of Celtic, where NYCFC HC Rony Delia had been, he may have had the inside track. This former Hoosier, Andrew Gutman went from IU after 4 years, a Herman Trophy on the strength of 11g with 9 assists over 23 games on the year and the semis of the NCAA's. His totals in Bloomington are 20g 17a over 90 matches. This output lead to a 3 year deal with Celtic FC on Jan. 1 of 2019.

As written the other day, the NYC team out of NYC, NYCFC are already in Orlando for the beginnings of their camp for a trio of weeks. They now embark on year 2 under HC Delia, coming off a disappointing 5th in the Conference during a Covid affected 2021. See video of coach on the Facebook of #SoccerLongIslandMagazine.
