On a WIngert and a prayer Chris and Bljedi Bardic or Cosmos

Defender Chris Wingert, his father Norm played in the original NASL and forward Bardic have signed up for the coming NPSL season. "I'm very happy with these aditions to our club. I've known Chris a long time. He's a quality player that will bring in a lot or experience and leadership to our younger players. " Said new HC Carlos Mendes also of Long Island and of Bljedi he said "Bljedi is a versatile goal scorer that can help us in many ways in our attack."

Wingert the Hermann player of the year award while at St John's spent the last two years back at RSL getting in 43 games, played 27 times in 2015 for NYCFC before 8 years with RSL, winning the MLS title in 2009. Chris was capped once in a 3-2 win over Sweden in 2009 also had 2 years with Colorado Rapids 2006-'07 as well as the Crew 2004-05.

Bardic of Montenegro is returing from a year split between Cosmos B and first teams where he found the back of the net twice. 2016 saw him with PRFC and scoring against the Strikers. A pro back home he came here first to the upstate Clarkstown SC Eagles of the NPSL in 2013.

Opening game is May 7 @7pm v Boston CIty FC @ Brothers Gilbert Stadium. The home opener is set for May15 @ 8pm with the Brooklyn Italians, site TBD.
