This will be the 43rd overall regular season meeting between New York and San Jose, with the Earthquakes holding the series advantage with a 17-15-10 mark. Captain Emil Forsberg scored his sixth MLS goal of the season in New York’s 2-2 draw against Minnesota United FC on Saturday. Forsberg became the eighth player in franchise history to reach 25 goal contributions in his first 40 games with New York. The Swedish international has recorded five goal contributions in three matches against Western Conference opponents this season. Forsberg has now tallied 12 goal contributions across all competitions this year.
