Whitecaps net Brazilian midfielder

No, not a retraction from them getting one from the EPL as well yesterday, this midfielder should be far more familiar to MLS fans and was the other party in the Tim Parker deal, Felipe. Having watched him for the last few years live, he is a firery player that you love to have on your team and hate to face, lead the team in both getting and giving fouls belying his small stature and being a very physical player. The terms were already laid out in the story of Parker so I won't list them again. Not mentioned until now is that the 'Caps will retain a part of any future transfer fee should TIm be transferred out of the MLS. Felipe is new player #11 for the 'Caps as they head into the new season on Sunday. HC Carl Robinson finds Felipe to be on of the best "box-to-box midfielder in Major League Soccer." Continuing at his high level of competing, confdent with the ball at his feet, and inventive as he advances, they strongly feel he will raise the level of player he is now surrounded by and happy to add him while he is at his playing height. Carl's comments on Parker included "We are thankful to Tim for his contributions over the last 3 seasons and wish him well moving forward"
