Whitecaps Final Roster for MLS is Back

Today the final list of player for the 'Caps was put out by the team, there are a number of notable names left off.

Below are the 23:

GK: Crepeau, Jasal, Meredith

Center Backs: Cornelius, Godoy, Khmiri, Veselinovic

Fullbacks: Adnad, Gutierrez, Nerwinski

Central Meifielders: Baldisimo, Bikel, Colyn, Hwang, Metcalfe, Owusu, Pecile, Teibert

Forwards: Bair, Dajome, Milinkovic, Raposo, Reyna

There are some not partaking in the games in Orlando, they are listed below with why:

Lucas Cavallini. "This was an extremely difficult decision for me. Unfortunately COVID-19 has had a very big impact, taking away two beloved members of my family."

Fredy Montero "Due to the current situation with Covid-19, I made a hard decision to stay with my wife and daughters in Canada, instead of traveling with the team to Florida. My family and I have had a complicated few months not only with being isolated in Canada without family or friends but also with an unforseen health emergencies. God bless you all."

Georges Mukumbilwa: I am disappointed that I will not have the opportunity to travel with the team and play in the tournament." He is a permanent resident, though not cleared to travel outside of Canada as yet.

Andy Rose: "My wife is due to give birth on July 17 and my original plan was to be with the team in Florida for our first and possibly second game. However, the sacrrifice of potentially missing my daughter's birth and the risk of infection travelling home meant it didn't make sense to go."

Axel Schuster, team CEO informed of Tosaint Ricketts. " Tos pushed hard to go. He will continue to train in Vancouver and if all goes well he will be ready for when the team returns.
