New York Red Bulls Head Coach Sandro Schwarz

On the month of May and challenges…

Yeah, it was a tough month, especially the last month in May with a lot of games, not so many training sessions, but now it is a new situation after his one week break. We will start on Saturday in Austin, and this is now the next opportunity for us directly to be ready in this game, with our intensity, with our principles, in our structure. Yeah, it looks the last couple of days our training sessions were very well from the whole group, with a very good energy, and with a very good intensity.

On the weather in Austin…

Yeah, it is for both teams the same challenge. So, I prefer not to think too much about that. I prefer more to think about what we need in this game, and it is clear it will be very hot in Austin, but on the other side, it is very good that we have also now in our training session today and yesterday, where it was very hot. So, that is is good, that is good that we adapt very quick and so now is the situation on Saturday, in the evening, we are playing in Austin and not to think too much about the weather, about the pitch, about the stadium, only to think about what we need in our structure.

On last few matches…

Everyone knows it’s been a very hard month with consecutive games, and for it’s me it's been hard, but we have done a very good job with all the load, we remained united in getting all the points we could.

On improving play…

After every training and after every match I mediate on mistakes I’ve made and luckily, I have teammates and coaches who correct me and help me be better. I've also been very committed to myself to be better and grow as a player and as a person.
