By Sean McCaffery, November 5, 2019

The new HC of the USWNT with his first game all but upon him, Nov. 7, yesterday added Milan Ivanovic to his techincal staff. Milan had been with Andonovski over his last 4 seasons coaching the Reign & FC KC, following a pro career as a player. This would of course include the NWSL title run with KC in 2015. Vlatko said of him, "Milan is a coach who is extremely dedicated and passonate about helping players reach their top level on the field." Half a dozen years playing under both asst. and HC Vlatko has clearly built a bond with this pair while with the KC Comets of the MISL then the MASL from 2012-'18, followed up by this past season with the Tacoma Stars. Milan arrived in KC in 2005 to attend Park University as had Vlatko, getting his BS in International Business with 3 seasons of soccer. Then he started coaching for the girl's team, Futura FC. 2009 had him back to Serbia with Lokomotiva Belgrade, 2012 it was back to the states with the Comets and again with the Futura club now FC Kansas CIty and 2 years later with Vlatko and the NWSL as an asst. A product of the Red Star Belgrade youth program, a top one in the world, their senior team came to play indoor soccer in 1986 facing the NY Express who then joined the original MISL. He moved on to Lokomotiva then at 20 popped the pond to the US.
