Valentines is a Day, Valentin, took the Month

The forward out of Argentina took the MLS Player of the Month award in the last full month of the season as selected by other members of the media for games in both Oct. & Nov.

He tallied 6 goals and 3 assists over but 8 games from Oct. 3- Nov. 8. Many forwards will not have that good of a season. They went 5-2-1 over those games closing out with a quartet of wins in a row. He had multiple point games in 3 of these games.

Oct 3, a 3-2 win over the expansion Inter Miami. Next game Oct. 7 with DC United at home was a 4-1 win as Taty had a goal and assist. The following game on the 18th with the Crew he also scored the sole goal in a 3-1 loss.

Hudson River Derby, a 5-2 win, the biggest is club lore over the Red Bulls. He would strike for a hat trick, one on a pk and an assist. Nov. 8 He had the GWG on a poorly played ball in the back by the Fire on Decision Day in the 4-3 win in a back and forth affair.

NYCFC closed out the year at 5th in the conference with 39 points and 1.7 points per game god for a 12-8-3 record, making the playoffs for the 5th year in a row but a far way from the top of the conference of just a year ago.

Next up, in Orlando Nov. 21 in the quarters at noon ET. Watch along on YES and en Espanol on UniMas & TUDN. Radio play on NYCFC.com/radio.
