USWNT roster for SheBelieves Cup

This 3rd annual version of the tourney opens March 1 as the US faces Germany with England and France also facing off in the opener, of course our intrepid photog Allan West will be there. Jill Ellis announced this week the 23 players who will be eligible to partake in this the highest level world wide 4 team tourey. A total of 25 players were brought into camp to be whittled down to this final count over 4 days prior to going hear to head with #2 Germany, #3 England & #6 France, the USWNT is of course #1. 

Jill Ellis HC of the USWNT stated there is a hungy and experieinced group excitied for the big rivals. They desire these chances going up against the highest level teams and after a great week of camp in Florida are chomping at the bit for these different obstacles each team brings to bear. 

Local players include Crystal Dunn who missed camp but will catch up with all in Colombus as she leaves her Chelsea FC team back in England and kicks off her season with the Washington Spirit shortly. Kelley O'Hara, late of Sky Blue now with the Utah Royals, Carli Lloyd of NJ now plying her trade for hometown Sky Blue, another traded player in the NWSL off season, Allie Long who has done so many things this off season for the local soccer players is out of Northport and now with the Seattle Reign , Savannah McCaskill of Sky Blue.

-all games are the first games with these opponents for the USWNT in 2018

-16 of US players were on the roster for the 2016 iteration of the Cup, 12 are now in their 3rd Cup with an overall avg. age of 25.8 years of age

-2017 US Soccer Player of the Year Julie Ertz has 58 caps, 15 goals and one Super Bowl spouse

-1 male coach in this event as USWNT coach Jill Ellis just completed her USSF Pro License

-Phil Neville of England makes his coaching debut after starring on the field for Manny U, Everton and the English MNT
