USWNT Loses a Coach

Dawn Scott of England has stepped down from her position from the USWNT to take a like position with the Lionesses. She had been with the US for 9 years, in that almost decade of service, this top team has been revered for their fitness and abilities. She is returning to her previous postion held prior to joining the stafff of Pia, and remaining for 2 more coaches. USWNT GM, Kate Markgraf stated "Dawn is an incredibly hard worker who did a world class job helping prepare our players physically, helping them recover from injuries and helping them reach their highest levels on the field. We say goodbye to her with a tremendous amount of gratitude and respect."  Scott was with three World Cup teams 2 title takers, as well as a pair of Olympics, one a gold winner. Scott said "This was one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make. I want to say thank you to everyone at the US Soccer Federation , to the players and the coaches-it has been an honor." Now it is up to Markgraf and US Soccer Dir. of HIgh Performance James Bunce to initate the seach for a successor.
