Muy bien. My last course a C, had issues with this as many approached me on the quantity of time spent on the course in Spanish, as it was not offered as one or even a bilingual one, what's a decade among friends? This if finally being done with the extended attemps to lessen the obstacles in coaching education, Minnesota Youth Soccer and US Club Soccer will host the first ones in Feb. The courses will be on the 4v4, 7v7, 9v9 & 11v11 lics. Following months of growing and working with Spanish-speaking coach educators and the goal is to make US Soccer Coaching Education accessible to more communities. Due to requests from members, US Soccer started to make the new course in Sept. 2018. Those spearheading the effort were, Sammy & Sebastian Geraldo of S. TX Youth Soccer Assoc., Alex Bavon IL Youth Soccer Assoc. & Alex Perez N. TX Soccer Assoc.
Barrry Pauwels, US Soccer Dir. of Coaching Education stated "We're excited to announce these courses, as they will help us reach more coaches and impact more players across the country. Our goal is that licensed coaches are available for every player in every community."
The Grassroots courses are the start of the Fed. Education Pathway. Lics. from here assist coaches to be able to be sure fun, enjoyable and developmentally appropiate environments for players. After this first roll out, these courses are hoped to extend and get better following responses from members. The in-person Grassroots are an initial part of the programming in Spanish, and they expect to keep broadening the courses to Spanish speakers in the future.
