Three Teams Fight for Two Spots in the USL Super League Playoffs
|
We know two things going into the final weekend of the USL Super League’s inaugural regular season.
Carolina Ascent are the Players’ Shield winner and No. 1 seed, and Tampa Bay Sun FC will host the other Semifinals on Saturday, June 7 after taking victory in its regular season finale.
But there’s still plenty to be decided going to Saturday’s action, with two playoff spots available for three teams as they take the field with everything on the line.
- All eyes will be on the clash between third-placed Fort Lauderdale United FC (11-8-8, 41pts) and fourth-placed Spokane Zephyr FC (11-8-8, 41pts), who enter their meeting at ONE Spokane Stadium level on points with Fort Lauderdale holding the head-to-head tiebreaker.
- With one of Fort Lauderdale or Spokane guaranteed to drop points, fifth-placed Dallas Trinity FC (11-9-7, 40pts) is ready to pounce. Victory in its home finale against Carolina Ascent guarantees a playoff berth. Anything less and the side will need help to reach the postseason.
Tune in for all the action on Peacock this Saturday night starting at 7 p.m. ET.
