Two years ago, the nation's longest-running cup competition paused for the first time in its wild, gritty, glorious 109-year history. But the good times are back for fans of the only competition in the United States that gives amateur teams a shot at sharing the spotlight with the big boys in the pro ranks. Kicking off this week with 16 First Round games on March 22 and 23, Open Cup Fever returns to deliver all the cupsets and chaos, the heartbreak and happiness that pours forth from U.S. Soccer's National Championship.

The Rounds Ahead
|
|
|
Twenty-three Division II and 23 Division III pro teams will see their first Open Cup action in the Second Round, which is scheduled for April 5-7. The 16 amateur winners from the First Round will join the pro clubs in a stage that will feature a modern era-record 31 matches in a single round. All 31 games will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
The Second Round begins on Tuesday, April 5, with 11 matches, followed by another 12 games on Wednesday, April 6. The round concludes on Thursday, April 7, with seven concluding contests.
