US Beach MNT has a new HC

Francis Farberoff has the pedigree you would seek in a head coach a stellar carrer as he captained the team and had been an asst. as well., he was appointed yesterday. Captain America for over a decade, 2003-'14, he topped the century mark in games over 14 years total on the team. Upon leaving the playing beach, he shortly then entered the coaching world as an asst. coach, even headed the WNT their first year in 2019. 

Francis informed "I'm ready for the challenge and I'm really excited to come in with a new approach to take this sport to the next level in the US. We want to create a competitive environment where we can develop great beach soccer players to not only particpate in the Beach Soccer World Cup, but compete for a championship in the future."

His first hurdle is the coming 2021 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup and getting the MNT ready for it in Russia, as they grow the team world wide in varous games. He has the credentials to go with the experiences in that he is a FIFA & Concacaf Beach Soccer Instructor, even having penned the regions inital techincal manual on the game. 2019 saw him assist the team back to the WC, an event it had not been in for 6 years, reaching 5th at the inagural 2019 World Beach Games. Before it became official, he was the acting HC for many games.

On the field, he participated in 7 beach soccer world championships, with them, a quartet of World Cups. They took the Concacaf title 7 times over and he was MVP of the tourney in 2006 in Costa Rica. Aside from the FIFA & Concacaf matches, he was involved in Beach Copa Americas as well as numerous international invitationals world wide.

He now is the Prez. of FBS-FC, MIami, heading this 500+ member youth club and installing both beach soccer and futsal to their cirriculum. After a 4 year career at St. Thomas Univ. in FL he dove into beach soccer.
