Yes, it has happend again. Training set for tomorrow morning, must be replied to by noon, email received at 3:26 pm. As if 24 hours notice was not enough 3:26 past the deadline is a tad bit worse. Why does soccer not get the coverage it deserves, what has it done for press coverage to deserve it. I cannot give one column inch, one image of mine exposure without being present. Was a bone thrown, care to interveiw anyone, no, credit free images, hardly. This they may not feel this hurts them, but it does hurt press. With my just over 43 years I the industry, I would like so much to be the go to source for local soccer news, but not possible, why even hold an open day for press if we are already closed out from applying. Oh, you may ask, how are you locked out, here is how, if you apply late it counts as a strike, which I thought was a baseball term. The last training session I attended for the same team was fouled up as well. I had not attended their sessions in some time due to travel and such foul ups, maybe time I again begin to not attend? Not so sure if it me getting older and less tolerant, but this is not a good thing.
