As previously hinted at on our Facebook page, TIm Parker has now been acquired by Red Bull for a King's Ransom. He will join fellow St. John's Soccer Alum, Connor Lade on the back line at RBA. The money all of it being TAM is broken down as follows, 2018, $225,000 then 2019, $275,000. This 13th overall draft choice in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft played in 32 games last year getting his first points with a goal and assist both. #2 league wide with 86 headed clearances, #5 with 73 arials won he also led the 'Caps in minutes, touches and successful passes. Dennis Hamlett, RBNY Sporting DIrector considers him a proven quality player in MLS, possessing many of the attributes they seek in their back line players. In looking into choices for center back, Tim was the prime choice due to his physical attributes, evaluating the game and on field persona, they are happy to have him and anticipate him in their kit. Following 4 years all as a starter with perrenial Big East power SJU, where he lead the defense to 3 straight NCAA bids and the 2011 Big East TItle with new teammate, Lade he has been in a few USMNT camps including the most recent one after being part ot the YNT's through the U-23's. HC Jesse Marsch informed that Tim is the defender we seek out, his soccer IQ, man to man defensive skills etc are specifics that fit their desires as he is aware Tim is happy to be back in NY and excel in this style of soccer.
