A Statement from RBNY GM Marc de Grandpre

By Sean McCaffery, March 17, 2020

This was addressed to our "New York Red Bulls Family". He hopes all are well in these difficult circumstances. The team keeps all and their families in their thoughts. Despite missing seeing all at RBA, the key is the safety of everyone. They always put a lot of effort into putting people first and thusly have been in close contact with players and staff during this crisis to assure health, safety and general welfare in order to better serve all in the time to come.

The team is taken aback by those who have touched base expressing concern for players and staff alike. He thanks all and affords this update.

They still are following the lead of the CDC, state and local health authorities and their medical staff along MLS & USL on how to advance and set the near future. There is a training stoppage and the players and staff have been adhering to that. Entry to RBA & the Training Facility has been limited to needed operational staff. An already tried telelcommuting program is in place.

Many Red Bull programs have been put off or nixed with the health and saftery of those involved in mind. With these changes they have put into play answers to reduce the effect on workers.

A pair of events have already been negatively effected, the March 26 international match as they work to re set the 3/28 MLS game. With the CDC limiting events to 50 people for the next 2 months, they are taking advance actions as more events may fall under that timetable. The team is in constant contact wiith their vital partners Delaware North & Securitas relative to easing the impact of alterations to their gameday staff for now and the future at our home.

As a unit, RBNY pushes to make a positive effect on their community at all times, dedicated to getting to the forefront and making things happen In conjunction with Hackensack Meridian Health. These moves are involving different changes with regards to test locales and serve those local to us in this time of need. More is to follow.

This virus formed a confusing and ever changing environment, please go with what the CDC etc. are advising. It is of paramount importance to support each other as best as possible, all the while maintaining the proper space.

"On behalf of the entire club, I sincerley thank you all, our Red Bulls family, for your continued support and loyalty. Wishing you and your loved ones good health now and always" So said Marc de Grandpre.
