For $50,000 in GAM, Kansas City, who last year had Jhn Pulskamp on their USL team acquired his Homegrown Rights from the LA Galaxy. He now has a 3 year deal, the 3rd as an option in 2023 and he becomes the 2nd youngest backstop in team history. At 6'2" he already had a pair of years under his belt with the Galaxy Academy and their U-17 & 19's before arriving in the mid west and turning pro in the USL Championship League for SKCII. Earlier he had been with Real So Cal & Central California Aztecs.

SKC HC & SD, Peter Vermes informed "We're very excited about signing a young goalkeeper of John's quality and more importantly I'm proud of the way he has bet on himself, worked his way up from Sporting KC II and earned an MLS contract. We believe John will continue to improve as he gains more experience."

From Bakersfield CA his is in MLS following a great year with SKCII as he was tops in their 'keeper corps with his 14 starts, minutes total of 1,260, a quartet of wins and 45 saves. Facing the champs, Louisville City on May 6 he had 5 saves, 4 against St Louis FC, both wins and a shut out of NCFC 1-0 on Sept. 21. Big wins each and every one.

Like Vermes and his asst., our friend Zorin Savic, he has represented the US as he was with the U-20's for a friendly v Mexico this Jan. 18 at IMG. June of 2018 saw him with the U-18's at SKC's new training facility. In 2018 he also popped the pond to Bournemouth and a trial with the EPL team.
