U.S. SOCCER AND FÚTBOL DE PRIMERA REACH SPANISH LANGUAGE AUDIO RIGHTS AGREEMENT
Multi-Year Agreement Will Make FDP the Exclusive Spanish-Language Audio Rights Partner of U.S. Soccer Including USMNT and USWNT Friendlies, Concacaf Nations League Group Stage Matches, and Other Key Competitions
CHICAGO (April 18, 2023) – U.S. Soccer and Fútbol de Primera (FDP) today announced a multi-year partnership that will make FDP the exclusive Spanish-language audio rights partner of the Federation, inclusive of high-profile matches and off the field events like the SheBelieves Summit and the National Soccer Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
The partnership framework includes coverage rights for USWNT and USMNT friendly matches, Concacaf Nations League group stage matches, the SheBelieves Cup, and the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Round of 32 through the tournament Final in the United States and its territories and possessions, including Puerto Rico.
“Our partnership with Fútbol de Primera will provide another avenue for fans to access U.S. Soccer matches and exciting off the field content,” said U.S. Soccer Chief Commercial Officer David Wright. “In addition to our incredible relationship with NBC Universal Telemundo, Fútbol de Primera is an important strategic step in our commitment to reaching young, multicultural fans as we strive to continue to grow the game at all levels.”
FDP has been at the forefront of Spanish-language soccer coverage for over 33 years and has become the recognized brand for Hispanic audiences in the United States. It owns the exclusive Spanish language audio rights to the FIFA World Cup, Gold Cup 2023, among other properties.
Presented by world renowned and National Soccer Hall of Fame inductee Andrés Cantor, Fútbol de Primera also airs an hour-long show which airs from Monday-Friday and provides the latest information and analysis on international soccer as well as interviews with the most recognized and well-known figures in the sport.

The partnership will begin with FDP’s live coverage of the inaugural Allstate Continental Clásico on April 19 as the USMNT takes on Mexico in Glendale, Ariz. at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. MST. Fans can tune in to the live Spanish audio coverage of the Allstate Continental Clásico via the FDP website.
The Allstate Continental Clásico is a new annual event that features the USMNT hosting a top-tier opponent from North, Central or South America, and demonstrates Allstate’s commitment to growing soccer in the United States in partnership with U.S. Soccer.
