A John Cena autographed Belt to be auctioned off.

This youth soccer group will be playing in three cities in the coffee region of Colombia, Manizales, Pereira & Armenia bringing items to benefit over 5,ooo impoverished youth soccer players. During this tour, they will be playing both high level and community teams including two tournies in Manizales, one with high level acadamy level teams and the other with local teams after which they will be donating items, similar donations will also be made to those in Armenia to go along with BBQ's, medals and more for their hosts. While in Pereira, home to two teams from Gonzo Girls, a program run by Monica Gonzalez, an ex player for the Mexican WNT will be joining in the games there.

Those responsible for making this effort possible include both Will Marin and Ingrid Arneberg who are benefactors to local comunity soccer programs in the Hamptons in particular, the Hampton United team and their humanitarian based trips.

The inspiration for this effort lies within Greg Fink, coach with the Hampton United team as he went on such trips to Ecuador, Bahamas, Peru, Colombia, South Korea, Dominican Republic, Haiti and Costa Rica as he played for the NYPD soccer team. Greg is now coaching, not playing and this is his part of encouraging the next generation to give back. These players have been going out to their schools, etc. to gather donations. This will be the first trip for these young players and has them very excitied more than anything about their opportunity to distribute what they have gathered.

There have been a few events to raise funds for the trip, this past weekend in Calverton at Foot Golf and a few weeks ago at a restaurant in the Hamptons, that is where these photos are from. Keep watching here for more details on additional events tied to this trip.
