Sky Blue to Play for Pride with Orlando Sept. 29

By Sean McCaffery, September 16, 2019

At eleven a.m., I am stil awaiting the breakfast menu, for the 2nd time ever, both this season, the local NWSL team featuring Carli Lloyd, Raquel Rodriguez, and more will kick it in Patterson facing this time, Alex Morgan, Ali Krieger, Ashlyn Harris & Marta, and team, just a few minutes walk from the trains of the PATH or NJ Transit, so close to NYC and it's Penn Station. They seek to break the Sky Blue attendance record of just under 9,500, NYRB take on DC a few hours later at 5 p.m. "The first time we played at Red Bull Arena we set a club attendance record." exclaimed Alyse LaHue, GM of Sky Blue. Tickets go on sale Tues at 11 a.m. I would fully expect this game to outdraw the first as there are more high profile players in the game and it will be the last game of the year for Sky Blue. All previoius ticket sales will of course be honored with Sky Blue getting in touch with all to inform as to seating etc. If you can get out to this game do so, show your support for what is considered the top league for female soccer in the world. Should you already be set to go to the Red Bull game, make a day of it. Walk into Newark, Harisson, Kearney and have lunch between games there are great Scottish, Latin flavored and Portuguese eateries.
