Sometimes the Celebration Is Better Than the Goal

The adrenaline from scoring a goal creates some of the best moments in soccer and Matchday 8 was no different, with players scoring everything from their first MLS goal to their 40th.
A former top-five MLS SuperDraft pick, Shak Mohammed joined Nashville SC this offseason and has found his footing with the organization, capping it off with his first career MLS goal on Saturday night. The goal came off an unselfish assist from Hany Mukhtar and Mohammed’s emotional response toward the former MVP showed just how much it means to score a goal in MLS.
On the other coast in Seattle, Cristian Roldan scored his 40th career goal, with a celebration announcing that the Roldan family is growing. Cristian and his wife Ciana are expecting their second child in August, which he talked more about after the match.
Matchday 8 showed once again that no matter how many goals you score, the celebration following can always mean something special.
