A Sean signs with Vanocuver

Sean Melvin is now tied to the 'Caps with a homegrown contract for 2018 including options for '19, '20 & '21, once his transfer is fully aproved he will be on the MLS roster. Coach Carl Robinson stated, "Sean is another product of what we're trying to build with our development system. He approaches his craft with the right mentality and work ethic."  Looks good for the future of this goalkeeper in the Pacific northwest. For his part, Melvin informed, "I'm really excited to be back and to now sign with the first team. I'm looking forward to pushing our other goalkeepers, putting myself in a position to earn time on the pitch."

- 2nd player from Vancouver Island to sign with WFC in MLS.

- 21 starts and games with Whitecps FC 2 in USl with 80 saves, 4 shutouts.

- 43 starts over 45 games at UNC Wilmington with 122 saves and a 1.25 GAA.

- 1st cap with Canadian Men's National Team in Jan. 2017.

His last team was with Fresno FC an affiliate of the 'Caps, over the past 2 seasons with WFC 2 in the USL he had 21 starts, 80 saves, 4 shutouts and a 1.76 GAA.
