Sean Melvin is now tied to the 'Caps with a homegrown contract for 2018 including options for '19, '20 & '21, once his transfer is fully aproved he will be on the MLS roster. Coach Carl Robinson stated, "Sean is another product of what we're trying to build with our development system. He approaches his craft with the right mentality and work ethic." Looks good for the future of this goalkeeper in the Pacific northwest. For his part, Melvin informed, "I'm really excited to be back and to now sign with the first team. I'm looking forward to pushing our other goalkeepers, putting myself in a position to earn time on the pitch."
