Sean McCaffery Announced as New Owner of Soccer Long Island Magazine Announced

SEAN McCAFFERY ANNOUNCED AS NEW OWNER OF SOCCER LONG ISLAND MAGAZINE

Long Island, NY ~ Soccer Long Island Magazine officially announced today that Sean McCaffery is the new owner of the magazine. McCaffery has been a photographer and correspondent for the magazine for several years.

Kevin L. McCrudden founded Soccer Long Island Magazine in 2008 because there was no proper soccer magazine on Long Island. "I am thrilled to announce that Sean has taken over ownership of the magazine," said McCrudden. "Sean loves soccer and has dedicated so much time and energy over the past several years to help me cover games and events. People in the soccer community know Sean as a constant presence and his dedication to the sport is unquestionable," he concluded.

Kevin will remain as Publisher and Consultant of Soccer Long Island Magazine and www.SoccerLIMagazine.com for the next year. The paper will continue as it has since inception to cover soccer throughout Long Island from youth and High School soccer, as well as local professional teams and US national teams.

McCaffery stated,"I'm really excited about this opportunity to combine my love for soccer with journalism. I have written in the past and have been a photojournalist for years and never thought an opportunity like this would become a reality. I can't wait to work with and promote the soccer community and Long Island."

The magazine will have many more interviews on video, audio and of course written. Former LI based players will be featured frequently along with their present day counterparts. Training tips will be incorporated into the fold to go along with running commentary on both international and local teams away games.

Sean has set up to bring groups to tour the National Sept. 11 Memorial & Museum the first of which hopes to be the home and visiting soccer teams to play locally. Special events carried out by Children of Change, a charity which he is currently President & Sporting Director, which have already been covered by Soccer Long Island Magazine will continue to be featured as they do their soccer themed outreach efforts for local youth soccer players on Long Island.

Sean has a long history of soccer on Long Island going back to Shep Messing's Soccer World in Syosset, the NY Arrows and the NY Express. He holds a USSF C Coaching License and has held many coaching and refereeing licenses. He was also a former manager with the St. John's University soccer program and where he received a degree in Sports Management, and where he implemented several programs that are still in place today.
