Red Bulls go to CT for TFC

Like their compatriots, the Montreal Impact, Toronto have settled in the Tri-State area for their home games, they are at UCONN where today they host the Red Bulls at 7:30 p.m. ET on MSG, MSG GO & New York Red Bulls Radio. NY controls the series overall with a 16-9-7 record as TFC lead at home with their 7-4-5, no not a neutral site, this is a home game for them. The home team leads the visitors by 14 points, 23 v 37 and top the Conference as well. Over the last 4 games NY has taken a trio of them, each shutouts, and a 6-3 goal differential.

The talk of the town has been a teenager, Caden Clark, the ink was not yet dry on his first MLS deal when he scored a stunning volley at 47' facing Atlanta away, making him the 5th youngest to net in MLS lore and 3rd in team history, getting a Tweet from #2, Jozy Altidore.

Local product out of Fordham, Ryan Meara was back between the pipes and showed no signs of rust from missing 5 games due to a hip injury. He now has a pair of clean sheets on the year, 6 overall. His .750 save pct. has him in 7th place with those logging at least 7 starts, odd it is not minutes by Opta? In almost 2/3's of his games, 19 of 30, he has allowed one or no goals, astounding.

Back home Sunday to take on Orlando, redemption Sunday? The 7 p.m. ET start will of course be on MSG & New York Red Bulls radio in both English & Spanish.
