Spanish side Real Madrid CF defeated Italian club AS Roma, 2:1, on Tuesday evening, during the annual exhibition club competition - International Champions Cup (ICC), before crowd of 51,528, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
Spanish international midfielder Marco Asensio opened the scoring for 33-time La Liga Champion - Real Madrid in the second minute, off an assist from Welsh international forward Gareth Bale.
Bale scored the 13-time UEFA Champions League winner’s second tally of the match off a pass from Spanish international defender Dani Carvajal.
Dutch international midfielder Kevin Strootman, who came in as a substitute in 63rd minute, got one back for three-time Italian Serie A winners with seven minutes remaining. However, Real Madrid held on for the victory.
