For their first time in history the NYRB team is in the semis of the CCL, this is huge as it leads to the Club World Cup, a massive feather in their cap should they take the title. The bad blood with Chivas from their time in MLS plays an interesting role here and NY has despite the result of their last MLS game a lot of momentum here. The game is being braodcast by Univision Deportes, go90.com and Red Bulls Radio starting half an hour before kickoff in English. Looking to build upon four straight wins in CCL games and 5 total without a loss the during this run, they have been on fire getting 8 goals while allowing 2, with 2 shutouts. Bradley Wright-Phillips is moving up the scoring charts in MLS and impressing here as well as he is knotted for the lead in goals with 3 ditto for assists. Luis Robles is tied with Alex Bono of Toronto with a pair of shutouts, hoping he passes him by in a short few hours.  8 games in 38 days is a bit however they are handling it with aplomb mixing up the lineups and each time another player steps up. 22 players and no same starting lineups as they have gone an impressive 5-2-1 over these 8 games. A dozen diffferent players have found the back of the net over these games for 18 totals goals of course with BWP leading the way with half a dozen himself, this as 13 players have combined on the  21 assists with surprise, BWP again leading the pack with 4. The home leg of this is Tues. April 10 ad 8p.m. NY time with the same broadcasts as this evening.
