SKC advances to a first place tie on the strength of goals by Zusi & Gutierrez as Llie gets his first on a pk. Long Islander Tim Melia was between the sticks with former NYCFC player, Khiry Shelton getting 82 minutes, Quincy Amarikwa with a side business of selling soccer training tools got in a quick 8 minutes in a losing effort as former NY Cosmos player Jimmy Ockford did not see the field and Albanian international Jahmir Hyka, who we spoke with last season did not dress. Minnesota United in action at NYRB. March 19, 2018

In a game where starters were afforded rest in part it may have been the weather,
snow and rain to go along with the many early games with the ongoing CCL, NYRB did not look much better than the home team. I got in from the NYCFC game, greeted the dog, put on the TV and explained to the wife as kickoff was happening.

NYRB had a quartet of players called up during for the March FIFA Window, this will cause them of course to miss the next game at home v Minnesota, but as ever, Country over Club. Tyler Adams with his 3rd time USMNT selection in a row, Kemar Lawrence of course with Jamaica for his Reggae Boyz, as both Michael Amir Murillo & Fidel Escobar dress for Panama.
