Midfielders, Ben MInes & Vincent Bezecourt each had surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery. Vincent, on his right MCL and Ben his clavicle. SIgned in Aug, VIncent with with NYRBII, since call up had a goal facing NYCFC in the US Open Cup. Mines a Homegrown inked ahead of the season came up via the RBNY academy he made his MLS debut on Mar. 11. Both are out for the year.

Christen Press, a local product and being honored for her 100th cap gained a goal as well in this shutout victory. Stanford student athlete, Tierna Davidson headed home her first goal, off a corner ball and an own goal closed out the scoring. Stub Hub Center in Carson hosted 23,544 fans who got their first look at the first goal by the 19 year old Tierna in just her 11th game in the first 8 minutes.  Another corner was chested into the net of Chile by one of their players off a flick on by Julie Ertz.

The new top team in the MLS have had a harried half month, they not only survived, they thrived. Saturday @ 7:30 p.m. ET they bring their 55 points to bear agains the 33 of the Impact. A team renowned for ther developmental abilities has a large number of players representing their nations.

Players from various nations and both senior and junior national teams have been selected from both the first team of NYRB  as well as NYRB II with one selection. For some it is a first time call up as others have already logged nearly 4,000 minutes for their country.

Satuday 7 PM at WAKEMED, NCFC will host the Rowdies as the home team tetters on the brink, a mere 3 points shy of the last playoff spot, the 8th position. Following a massive win in a Derby v Charlotte, they are now in the midst of a 7 game undefeated streak at home. In making their pitch a fortress, they have outscored all others 22-17 season long and averaged over 2 goals per game. During this week NCFC has been climbing the standings, a victory places them in a better position with Ottawa and NYRBII in shooting distance with 35 & 37 points respectively.
