From early to late morning, Oktoberfest was celebrated in the East Village. Pre game and halftime shows live with Eric and Company we cheered loudly by the packed Bayern fans. Bavarian cuisine from large Pretzels to equally large beers were served and enjoyed by the throng. There were many give aways of jerseys signed by the team and one seperate of James Rodriguez. Former Bayern standout Raimond Aumann was present, and we were lucky enough to walk away with many of his autographed cards to be given to our followers, even after yesterdays Cosmos win we still have a good many to distribute.

This version of the NY Cosmos has been all tied up of late. Most of these ties have been in a come from behind fashion that takes its toll on the players at every level mentally, emotionally and of course physically as playing from behind is so demanding. Rather than netting one in the last minutes, Juan Guerra found the back of the net in less than 20. A penalty kick for each team and a goal off a restart rounded out the points for the evening. Playing well at the start, NY seemed to have turned the tide on weak beginnings. but this seemed to be a false hope.
