A fee, not disclosed but thought to be in the millions was paid to Barnsley FC to get him out of his contract with them, he will take his new job upon the securing of his US work visa.

If NYCFC wants to be thought of as a better team, these are the teams they have to beat more handily, a one goal game, too close for comfort. Sadly Luis Robles suffered a broken arm, in the game it appeared to be his wrist. Mitrita is fully capable of filling the large gap not just Heber but Maxi left on the offensive end, throw in a goal from the now team leader in goals, Tinnerholm and it changes the complexion of the team as a whole.

Riding high on a couple of wins, but brought back down to earth, NYRB became the 9th team in a row unable to defeat the Oscar Pareja coached Orlando City team. The biggest difference for me was not that the hosts were much better, but more so that NY just did not shoot enough. Open shots were turned into passes, too many touches and then shut down. If you do not shoot, you do not score it really is that simple. In watching the PL games today it was made so clear that is one main differences in the 2 levels of play.

The striker from Sporting Kansas City, Alan Pulido will represent El Tri on Oct. 7 facing Netherlands and the 13th against Algeria. With ex Atlanta United coach now at their helm the team will also feature Pizarro of Miani & Jonathan dos Santos of the Galaxy. All of whom upon their completion of national team service will have to be out a while as per MLS Covid protocols. This pair of games are to be contested in Johan Cryuff Stadium & Cas Jeans Stadiums,The Hauge, first on ESPN2, the ESPN app, TUDN & UniMas, the Algeria game may be seen on Univisioin & TUDN.

Seattle takes on the 'Caps Oct. 3 @ 7:08 PT on TSN1/4 & TSN Radio 1040. For the first time in 5 games the 'Caps have had a full complement of days rest between games, they will need it following 5 games in 16 days and now taking on the champs. They just came out of a busy time and now enter another, arriving back home Mon., they got together on Wed. and will fly today to Seattle. Last week was another Cascadia Cup game and this one is no different as the last 11 out of 13 games have been with playoff teams as per the stadings of game day.
