OCSC HC Oscar Pareja Entering Rare Air as an MLS Coach

By Sean McCaffery, September 30, 2020

The first year coach at Orlando built up his wins with Dallas FC, his 110 wins in MLS play has him sitting in 10th place and should move up a pair of places before the end of next year, but the top spot is more than twice his total now in his 8th year in MLS. The late great Sigi Schmid lords over all others with 240 some 25 above Bruce Arena in the 2nd spot.

Achiving the benchmark of 10 wins in each of his 7 seasons thus far he is just over half way to Sigi with 13 when he gets one more, he moves up a pair of spots. His 7 wins this year is tied for 3rd on this unique year and would then leave him one shy of Jason Kreis, now alone at 6th.

Even on a percentage basis he is top ten, sitting at # 6 for those with at least 100 games coached, where Arena is again in 2nd at .599 below Brian Shcmetzer winner of the last MLS Cup just .010 ahead as Oscar has a .558 win pct.
