- New York Red Bulls II dropped a 4-1 contest to FC Cincinnati 2 on Sunday afternoon at MSU Soccer Park.
- FC Cincinnati 2 opened the scoring in the second minute, when midfielder Jesus Castellano played a ball across New York’s box and Benjamin Stitz was there to tap in.
- Cincinnati would double their lead in the 28th minute, when Stefan Chirila sent a free kick to side of New York’s wall and ended up in the bottom corner.
- New York got one back in the 50th minute, after Tanner Rosborough was brought down in the box and New York was awarded a penalty kick. Ibrahim Kasule stepped up and converted the attempt.
- Cincinnati added a third when Cincinnati defender Amir Daley beat a New York defender and got the ball across to Chirila, who tapped the ball in.
- Cincinnati scored their fourth and final goal, when Moises Tablante Marquez sent a shot into the near post and went in past New York’s goalkeeper.
- Kasule scored his fifth goal of the season and has now scored a goal in three-straight matches.
- The Ugandan international has now scored 21 goals across all competitions, which now ranks tied for third in franchise history with Stefano Bonomo.
- Kasule has converted all nine of his penalty kick attempts for Red Bulls II.
- He has recorded three goals and one assist in four career appearances against FC Cincinnati.
