NYRB Tyler Adams Up for US Soccer Male Player of the Year

A local product who came up through the NYRB system, Tyler is now getting both national and international acclaim. The selection process has begun by way of voting and will continue until Dec. 3 @ 11:59 p.m. ET. At 19 he would be the 2nd youngest honoree as Christain Pulisic was awarded it at 18 in 2017. A year now since his first selection to the USMNT, as Adams had his first goal on Sept. 11 after interviewing with us just days before facing Mexico in a 2-0 victory. As for NYRB, Tyler  made 27 appearances and a personal record 7 assists in his spot as a holding mid. From Wappingers Falls NY he help the team achive the MLS Suporters Shield yet again this season as they set league records for points with 71, and wins a lofty 22. Sun., the 25th they are hosted by Atlanta United in the first leg of a home and home then back to RBA on Thurs. Nov. 29 at RBA. FIrst awarded in 1984 to Rick Davis, our 2nd mention of him today, the first ever GM of the USMNT, Earnie Stewart earned it in 2001, USMNT leading goal getter Landon Donovan is tops with 4 such awards and newly retired Clint Dempsey has a trio of them.
