New York Red Bulls Head Coach Sandro Schwarz
On injuries…
I said also before our game in Atlanta on the road, it is a big challenge now with some injuries, which we have, but this is also on the other side, a big, big chance for us as a group to show our face as well, then with a smaller group with maybe more younger players then. This is a big chance, a big opportunity for us, directly at the beginning of the season, to be ready and to collect points in the style of play, how we want to play. And this is more important to have this focus, to see the big, big chance in this situation. But on the other side, for sure it's necessary in this long season that all these injured players coming back as quick as possible.
On Orlando…
Orlando are a very good team, especially with their quality individual in their defense and also in their offense. And we played the last game in our conference final on the road in Orlando. And now it's a new challenge for us. It's a very good team and with our group and but we have to be ready and to play with our confidence, with our energy level, and then to be ready in every duell and hopefully then to defend in the same way like we did it in Atlanta and in a better way in our transition.
New York Red Bulls Defender Dylan Nealis
On flexibility of playing center back and right back…
Yeah, I take a lot of pride in being able to say that I can play anywhere along the back line, whether it's even on the left side and then center back versus wing back or outside back, Like you said, it's literally just a flick of a switch. I think when I'm playing more that center back role, it's kind of just focusing more primarily on my defensive responsibilities. But if I'm playing outside back or wing back. I think I should just kind of reiterate to myself to be brave going forward. And kind of like you said, just flick that switch on and use more my offensive mentality.
On playing at home on Saturday…
It's awesome. I think in this league, especially winning on the road is tough. So you have to take advantage of every home game you have with the support of our fans, some of the best fans in the league, especially towards the end of last season and hopefully they can carry that over into this year. We'll need everybody out there for this game, and we can't wait to see you guys and to play in front of everyone.
