NYRB Link Luca Lewis

From Torino of the Primavera to RBNYII on Sept. 22 then today with NYRB, Luca has done some moving of late. Born in NYC, he counts home as Pesaro Italy.

Kevin Thelwell, RBNY Head of Sport told, "We're pleased to add Luca to the first team. He's a good, young talent with a range of experiences that have helped him develop his game physically and mentally. We like what we've seen from him the last few months and think his game fits well with our style of play."

At just 19 he had a trio of starts as the USL Championship season came to a close. Out of NYC, he was in Bradenton at the IMG Academy with their U-13/14 team.

BNY HC Struber added "Luca is a good young goalkeeper with a lot of qualities we like. He is big, athletic and he understands the way we want to play. As a coaching staff, we look forward to working with him to continue his development."

Over his pair of years in Florida, Luca had 35 games, then it was bon voyage to Italy with the U-17 & 19' with more than half of his 27 games shutouts with 14.

Lewis informed "I am very excited to have signed an MLS contract with the New York Red Bulls. I am very grateful for this opportunity and I'm ready to work hard and contribute to the team's success."
