Road Warriors

Four straight road wins to open 2022 -- and New York is looking to stretch it to five.

New York has scored 11 goals on the road this season, which ranks tied for first in MLS. Out of the 11 goals, New York has had nine different goal scorers on the road this year, including Brazilian midfielder Luquinhas, who scored his first career MLS goal in New York’s 3-0 win over Orlando City SC on Sunday, April 24.

The Red Bulls are looking to become the second team in MLS history to win their first five road games of the season in regulation.

Stingy Defenses

The Red Bulls have only allowed six goals against this season. Chicago has only allowed five goals against this season.

Both sides will come together with some of the top goalkeepers in the league, with Carlos Coronel in New York's net and budding star Gabriel Slonina in the Fire's net.

Differing Offenses

On the attacking side of the ball, New York has scored 13 times (with 11 coming on the road). The Fire have scored just five times in 2022.

New York will look to keep their scoring going at Soldier Field, while continuing the trend of keeping Chicago off the board.
