- Inter Miami CF opened the scoring in the ninth minute, when defender Marcelo Weigandt sent in a cross, which found the head of Luis Suarez and fell to Fafa Picault, who placed the ball into the roof of the net.
- Miami doubled their lead in the 33rd minute, when Picault sent in a cross to the far post and found the head of Weigandt, who’s first attempt was saved by Carlos Coronel, and then his rebound found the left corner of the net.
- Miami added a third goal in the 39th minute, when Suarez sent a shot that was blocked by a Red Bulls defender and then he put his rebound into the bottom left corner.
- The Red Bulls narrowed the lead down to two in the 43rd minute, when defender Omar Valencia whipped in a corner kick to the far post, where forward Mohammed Sofo headed the ball over Miami’s goalkeeper into the back of the net.
- Miami added a fourth in the 67th minute, when Talesco Segovia played a ball over New York’s backline that forward Lionel Messi volleyed into the back of the net.
- Sofo scored his second MLS goal of the season and his first since March 1 against Nashville SC.
- Valencia tallied his fourth MLS assist of the season, which leads the club and ranks tied for first among active MLS defenders this season.

- Midfielder Peter Stroud made his 50th career MLS appearance in tonight’s match.
