New York City FC (NYCFC) extended its unbeaten streak to 10 games, on Wednesday evening, after a 5:2 win over visiting FC Cincinnati (FC Cincy), before a crowd of 18,597, at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.

The victory improved NYCFC to 5-1-8 ledger, while FC Cincy, which dropped its fourth consecutive game, goes to a 3-11-12 record.

Hosts opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a tally Romanian international midfielder Alexandru Mitriță off an assist from Argentinean international midfielder Maximilliano Moralez.

NYCFC made it 2:0 six minutes later when Brazilian forward Héber scored after a cross from Swedish international defender Anton Tinnerholm.

Libyan international forward Ismael Tajouri-Shradi also got into the score book with a tally in the 29th minute-mark off a second assist of the game from Tinnerholm.

FC Cincy got on the board, and ended the shutout, in the 37th minute, when NYCFC’s goalkeeper Brad Stuver misjudged a free kick and Héber headed into his own net for the 3:1 scoreline just before the intermission.

Héber got his second offensive tally of the evening in the 49th minute off an assist from Moralez, his second of the game.

Another own goal by NYCFC, this time by U.S. defender Sebastien Ibeagha, gave FC Cincy its 2nd tally of the evening in 76th minute.

In the 90th minute Moralez closed out the scoring for NYCFC with a tally off a give-and-go pass from Argentinean midfielder Valentin Castellanos for the 5:2 final.
