NYCFC Takes one from Miami

By Sean McCaffery, October 4, 2020

If NYCFC wants to be thought of as a better team, these are the teams they have to beat more handily, a one goal game, too close for comfort. Sadly Luis Robles suffered a broken arm, in the game it appeared to be his wrist. Mitrita is fully capable of filling the large gap not just Heber but Maxi left on the offensive end, throw in a goal from the now team leader in goals, Tinnerholm and it changes the complexion of the team as a whole. Morgan an impact player this year for Miami, had a brace as did Mitrita so it was a great thing that Tinnerholm came though, he was left to make a 30 yard or better run and again finish from outside the area, Mitrita did Mitrita things, squirming about and gettting his shots off. The first goal by Alexandru was a first time shot, a bit of a rarity in this league, but he has of course played elsewhere and I hope he does not pick up the extra touches of this league. At just 4', well later than his previous opening goal game a first time effort off a Ring pass from the bttom of the center cicle to well inside the area. Higuain with time would later take that dreaded 2nd touch and he put it well off the mark. Following a turnover, Morgan did what his teammate could not, first time a ball into the back of the net. In the 38', Morgan again dispatched the ball first time to the upper corner for the brace. Mitita with his 3/4 field run did as Medina did last game and put one away off the opponents legs.
