NYCFC saves the day, ink Jeff Caldwell

The 22 year old netminder has come to terms following a trememdous pre season. This #19 pick in the MLS Superdraft 2018 spent the last 1.5 months along with his teammates in Florida, LA and Mexico as they prep for this coming season. Caldwell explained that being in camp unsigned was a risk, but he was able to be comfortable. Now he must  put in the time everytime and learn as much as is possible. He seeks to better his game and do so for sometime, that will lead to his being a success. All on the team are hunting for hardware, he wants to play a role in that search, wanting to do well as a teammate, improve as a 'keeper and be a winner, as all here come from a winning background here. HC Patrick Viera admitted he was their goal since the combine due to the high cieling they percive, he focused and put in the hard work with a great ethic. Claudio Reyna, Sporting DIrector said they are quite happpy with how he  has proven himself at this, the next level to date, and with the others involved, coach and gk's that he will be of assistance. Jeff had 2 straight years of All-ACC at UVA geting called up at the U-17,18 & 20 USMNT's with his first cap at that level v England in 2015, he is one of ten new players from the offseason.
