From VfB Stuttgart to Yankee Stadium, not a bad relocation for the 22 year old out of Ghana who now has a one year deal on loan. He is happy to be with a big club such as NYCFC wanting to have a winning team and get as many victories as possible. Head coach Patrick Viera is excited as the player is dynamic, fast and aggressive while good with the ball. Describing him as a "competitor" ,enjoying winning with a good character he will push to play with his fellow midfielders. Sporting Director and former Captain America, Claudi Reyna had similar praise for the new addition, being glad to have him in the strong midfield and watching his growth as a NYCFC player. The holding midfielder is to help control the pace of the game via his ball distribution. Ofori helped his previous team to promotion to the top division with 9 games in the first half of 2017. 3 years with AIK in Sweden's Allsvenskan lead to 4 goals over 75 games and the league award for best midfielder in 2017. Gaining 8 caps with Ghana has given him international experience beginning in Feb of '17,  and his first goal facing  Ethipoia in an African Nations Cup qualifier.  From New Edubiase United FC in Ghana his chance came on the strength of 4 goals in 7 games back in 2012/13.
