As they warm up for their sophmore season, USL side, Nashville Soccer Club who knocked off an MLS club in the US Open Cup look for their 2nd 1st tier victim in NYCFC. They are set to join MLS themselves after a mere 2 years of existence in 2020. In the inagural season, they were good for 8th in their conference, making the playoffs, losing to 2019 MLS entrant FC Cincinnati on pks in the opening round. Claudio Reyna, we have mentioned his son Giovanni a good deal of late, stated "Our game against Nashville should be an exciting match. It'll be a good test in a road enviroment and opportunities like this are instrumental in preparing us for the challanges that lie ahead." HC Domenec Torrent added, " In 2017 I went to Nashville with Manchester CIty and I was vey impressed with their friendliness and happiness that the local people exhibit".
