While adhering to the law of the land & the league, the NY MLS team is to begin voluntary individiual workouts, many other teams across the nation already have. In the wake of Gov. Coumo announcing that the pro teams based in NYS may begin, NY lagged behind other states by almost 3 weeks in this. We have aleady mentioned the rules for the league, which along with the states are to be followed.

David Lee, NYCFC Sporting Dir. stated "Throughout the Covid-19 crisis, the health and welfare of our players, staff and fans has been our number one priority. The safety prodecures we implement will be extensive and will fully comply with social distancing procedures from the moment the players and the essential staff arrive to when they leave."

The team was in consultation with their CMO & NY-Presbyterian, and they will used specific health and safety procedures during such training sessions. None however are in addition to what the league had already set out earlier.
