The NWSL Welcomes 56 New Players at the 2024 NWSL Draft, presented by Ally
The National Women's Soccer League welcomed its largest class of drafted players to the league as 56 athletes heard their names announced last Friday night at the 2024 NWSL Draft, presented by Ally.
The 2024 NWSL Draft class features players from 30 U.S. universities, including five who saw a player drafted into the NWSL for the first time in their history. With first-time draft picks from Utah State University, St. Mary’s College, University of Pittsburgh, University of Memphis and University of Iowa, 100 schools have had players selected in league history.
We are proud to announce that the 2024 NWSL Challenge Cup will return on Friday, March 15 as 2023 NWSL Champion NJ/NY Gotham FC takes on San Diego Wave FC, winner of the 2023 NWSL Shield, presented by CarMax.
Gotham FC will host San Diego Wave FC at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ, kicking off at 8pm ET, streaming live on Prime Video.
The newly formatted 2024 NWSL Challenge Cup will kickoff with a single match showdown between the league's most accomplished stars from the previous season. This match will serve as the league's official return to the pitch ahead of the 2024 regular season.
