Out again with #KseniiaPriego, this time to mark a milestone for Soccer in the USA, yes the oldest in continual use soccer field in the nation, the Metropolitan Oval. No longer a dirt field with rocks, stone and a big metal pipe just out of touch. Stands, updated bathrooms, artificial grass and more. adidas of course ruled the roost, with gear a raffle for a signed New York City FC top, displays of gear and oh so many of the FIFA World Cup balls they made. A number of vendors supplied sweets and various hot samples. Even the view of NYC from there has changed over this past century, the ball however remains round. To this day, they are still producing top players here and internationally, our good friend Soccer Tom Mulroy mentions this hallowed ground often in his book, 90 Minutes with the King. See photos and video on our Facebook Page.
