On the resilience of the team…
It’s just the character of the guys. I think they are all into it. They always believe that this is the kind of group we want to create, a group which is always believing in our style of play and also believing that it doesn’t matter who we play, that we will always be in a position to create chances and to score goals. It makes me really happy to see our guys playing like this, in our idea and our identity.
On preparing for a quick turnaround…
The training obviously looks a little bit different because we have to take care of the guys who played 90 minutes or the load planning is a little bit different. And you try to adjust your daily training sessions. But in the end, for a football player or even for a coach, I think there is nothing better than just playing as many games as possible.
On the RWJBarnabas Health Performance Center…
I have been over there multiple times. I would say it’s one of the best training facilities that I have ever seen. Hopefully, it’s one of the little bonuses we can show to players, to young talented guys we want to convince to join our organization.

On the comeback victory against Philadelphia Union II…
I think against Philly, it’s always a tough game, and it’s always a lot of duels and lot of back and forth between both clubs. But I think when we went down, we stuck to our game plan and we kept playing the way we were playing, and we eventually took our chances in the end and won the game.
On his hot streak and being named MLS NEXT Pro’s ‘Rising Star of Matchweek 9'...
My teammates have helped me a lot through these last few weeks. I think my success comes from my teammates and I think without them, I wouldn’t be performing the way I am.
On the mindset of the team…
I think our results have been collective good team performances, but every week someone stands out. I think for us, it’s just important that we keep winning games and individual success will come with that.
