Red Bull New York Set to Host Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC in Round of 32 of 2026 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup
HARRISON, N.J. (April 3, 2026) – Red Bull New York will host Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC in the Round of 32 of the 2026 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday, April 15 at Sports Illustrated Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET with coverage on Paramount+ and Red Bulls Radio in English via the New York Red Bulls app and NewYorkRedBulls.com.
This will be the first time that New York has faced off against Pittsburgh in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. The Riverhounds defeated Virgina Dream FC in the second round of the Open Cup, 2-0, to advance. Pittsburgh currently ranks seventh place in the USL Championship Eastern Conference.
The Red Bulls will be entering the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup for the 27th time in franchise history. New York have posted a 32-24-5 mark in franchise history in the Open Cup. Since Sports Illustrated Stadium opened in 2010, the Red Bulls have recorded a 10-0-4 mark in U.S. Open Cup matches.
