Red Bull New York II Head Coach Dominik Wohlert
On the match…
We knew that Miami would be a good team. We knew that they have a certain style of play, and that's what they showed today. And again, I just can say similar what I said last week, but I'm just really proud of our guys, the investment, the ideas, which we worked on the whole week. And now to bring that in that style to the pitch is impressive. And again, all credits to the guys. And they put in a big shift. And I'm just happy for them, because they they were able to reward themselves in a great way.
On the group…
I think the whole group really did a great job. And again, it's it just shows with all the players on the field, really our pipeline from Academy to second team to first team, that's the road we want to go. And again, we have promising guys in our lineup, and that's really exciting.
Red Bull New York II Midfielder Benny Rodriguez
On scoring his first career MLS NEXT Pro goal…
It feels great. Coming not from New York it was a different experience when I came up here, and it's been a journey to come up to this, through the academy for a few months, and then to the second team and to get my first minutes this season and get a goal it feels great.
On Head Coach Dominik Wohlert…
He makes it really clear. It's pretty obvious throughout the week of training. We have walkthroughs, mostly every day. If you don't know what you're doing then you're doing something wrong, because he makes it really easy to understand.
Red Bull New York II Goalkeeper Tobias Szewczyk
On clean sheet…
Definitely, it's important for the team, not just for me, but definitely to keep the streak of the wings going and also keeping the momentum going. It's a really good feeling, just satisfying feeling. But there's still a lot of hard work to do during training.
On center back duo of Erick Londono and Aimar Sanchez…
Definitely getting closer from Panama, getting that time to stay with them. And they're really good center backs. Very happy with them, very happy with the way they performed today, looking forward again to next week,
