(Feburary 27, 2026) – Red Bull New York (1-0-0, 3 pts.) host the New England Revolution (0-1-0, 0 pts.) on Saturday, February 28 for their 2026 Home Opener at Sports Illustrated Stadium. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. ET with coverage on Apple TV in English and Spanish, and Red Bulls Radio in English via the Red Bull New York app and NewYorkRedBulls.com.
Coverage on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV begins at 2:30 p.m. ET. Callum Williams will have primary play-by-play responsibilities and will be alongside Giovani Savarese on the English side, while Bruno Vain will have the primary play-by-play responsibilities on the Spanish side. This will be the 88th overall regular season meeting between New York and New England, with the Revolution holding the overall series advantage with a 37-33-17 mark. The Red Bulls have posted a 26-9-9 mark against the Revolution at home in franchise history, including winning their last four matches against New England at Sports Illustrated Stadium. New York have posted an 18-6-6 mark in their home openers in franchise history. This will be the first time since 2009 that New York have hosted the Revolution for their home opener.
Forward Julian Hall opened up the 2026 MLS season with a brace in a 2-1 win against Orlando City SC on Saturday, February 21. Hall became the fifth player in MLS history to score multiple goals in a single game at 17 years or younger. The Manhattan, N.Y. was also one of five players in MLS this season to score two or more goals in their season opening match. The forward became the 31st different player in 31 seasons to score the first goal of the season in franchise history.
Captain Emil Forsberg tallied his first MLS assist of the season in the 2-1 win over Orlando. He has now registered 17 career MLS assists and has recorded an assist in back-to-back MLS regular season matches. The midfielder has recorded five goal contributions in three career matches against New England (3G, 2A). Forsberg has scored in two-straight home openers at Sports Illustrated Stadium.
